Mark grinned and waved as the last few stragglers left the dungeon. It had been ages since there’d been good scenes, and he was still riding the adrenaline rush of witnessing everyone having such a great time.

It had nothing to do with giving Kendra an orgasm, or the little humming sounds she made for the few seconds she let him cuddle her. Or by how much he wanted to chase her when she bolted.

“We had a good night,” Sean said. He reached up as if to clap Mark on the shoulder, then dropped his hand. “It was nice to see the dungeon get some use for a change.”

“I’m almost tempted to say I told you so, but I had no idea Kendra would work so fast,” Ryan replied, getting cleaning supplies from the utility closet. “It’s unnatural.”

“That’s one word for it,” Mark murmured, using spray disinfectant and a rag to clean the bondage horse. “Let’s do the floor in the morning. I’m exhausted.”

“Same.” Sean helped Mary Alice, the bartender, load glasses into the dishwasher, then started it.

“We’ll put those away tomorrow,” Mary Alice said, tossing her apron into a hamper. “I’m headed out. The receipts and used drink tickets are locked in the office already.”

“Thanks,” Mark replied. “Drive safe.”

His phone chimed with a message as he put chairs up on the tables in preparation for morning cleaning. He pulled it out and frowned at the terse message from Sierra.

“Let’s go,” he said to his friends. “Sierra says there’s a problem in the lobby.”

Sean wiped his hands and dropped the bar rag in the hamper. “Did she call security?”

“She didn’t say.” Mark left the cleaning supplies on a table and led the way from the dungeon, Sean and Ryan following his quick pace.

As they passed the restaurant, Jake caught up with them, carrying a large bag of ice and several dishtowels. “Do you know what happened? Sierra asked me to bring ice and towels.”

“Maybe someone fell,” Ryan replied, breaking into a jog. “Housekeeping was supposed to be waxing the floor in the lobby overnight, weren’t they?”

Sean shook his head. “Not until later. Besides, they—”

“Not here, Sierra! The guests— Ouch! Fuck, that hurts!”

“Quit whining and watch your language, little girl.”

Mark stopped, trying to make sense of what he was seeing. Scowling darkly, Sierra had Kendra on the couch and was pressing a bloodstained tissue to her lip. More blood droplets were scattered on the front of Kendra’s shirt, and her pants were torn and covered in dirt.

Someone had obviously hit her, and he quelled the immediate urge to find the asshole and rearrange their limbs.

“Pretty sure I have a few years on you,” Kendra snapped, jerking out Sierra’s reach.

“Jake is coming with ice. Just let me finish cleaning the blood up before you make a mess on the couch.”

“I’m okay. Olivia has some big bruises on her arms. Take care of her first.”

“You have an odd definition of okay. Olivia isn’t actively bleeding on the furniture. Now, stop fussing before I spank your butt.
